SeaZip 3 is a Damen Fast Crew Supplier 2610 used for offshore crew transfer. Built in 2015, the vessel was converted from 12 to 24 passenger capacity during the winter break of 2022.
The 26.30 metre catamaran has two symmetrical hulls based on Damen’s Sea Axe shape. This Twin Axe arrangement provides a platform for transporting technicians and light cargo to offshore projects. Other possible applications include hydrographic survey and diving support, depending on the equipment and operating requirements of the project.
SeaZip 3 sails under the Dutch flag and operates under Bureau Veritas class. Her listed service speed is 25 knots. Propulsion is provided by two Caterpillar C32 engines, each rated at 895 kW.
The capacity conversion allows SeaZip 3 to carry larger groups of technicians while retaining a role in supporting smaller maintenance teams. Project enquiries can cover passenger requirements, cargo needs and the vessel’s current availability.
SeaZip Offshore Service’s management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015. JR Shipping lists ISM and MLC2006 certification for the vessel. The technical team can supply the relevant documentation for the assignment.
SeaZip 3’s conversion from 12 to 24 passengers in 2022 increased the crew transfer capacity of an existing vessel. This is a concrete part of her service history. JR Shipping’s wider sustainability policy focuses on reducing environmental impact through daily operations and the continued evaluation of improvement opportunities within the fleet.
